During the Coronavirus pandemic and its associated restrictions, we're sorry that we're not able to offer regular worship as we like to. When worship is allowed by the Government then we are celebrating a simple said Holy Communion, these services last 45 minutes starting at the following times:
Thursdays 10am
Sundays 11am
All are most welcome, of course.
When we are only allowed to open for private prayer, then the church is open at the times above for personal prayer and reflection: please come and go as you wish and feel free to light a candle.
Please continue to contact Fr James about possible baptisms and weddings.
Situated in Potter Street, which was the settlement along the London Road before its incorporation into Harlow New Town after World War 2.
We like to think we still keep the warmth (new heaters!) and friendliness of a typical village church, even into the 21st century when Harlow is a town of well over 80,000 people.
We are an Anglican church in “the Catholic Tradition” – our Sunday worship is formal, with robed servers and incense. But we are also increasingly committed to the life of the wider Christian community, both in Potter Street (where we meet regularly with our neighbours from the Baptist Church); in Harlow (through our Deanery and the group Heart4Harlow, which represents many different Christian traditions in the town), and our valued place in the Diocese of Chelmsford.
Please contact Father James to talk about baptisms or weddings, or if you would like to organize a funeral service in our church. But best of all, come and join us on a Sunday morning at 11am.
Our mass lasts a little over an hour: we have a friendly and informal Sunday School for our younger worshippers, and it will be a great pleasure to share what we can of God’s love and goodness with you.
We are committed to Safeguarding Children, Young People, Victims/perpetrators of Domestic Abuse and Vulnerable Adults. The PCC has adopted the Church of England's policies and best practice on Safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England's website.
