Our Church Groups

Sunday School

 Come along and join us.
All children from tots to  teens are very welcome. We meet every Sunday morning at 11am in the  church hall next to the church. Sunday School lasts for about 35minutes  & then the children go into church with their parents or us for the  last part of the service.

We Learn about God, the Bible, the  Church and our world, in a variety of ways appropriate to the ages of  the children. We enjoy crafts, drama, storytelling, singing and parties.
We  are fully involved in the life of our church, participating in  services, putting on plays and helping with various church events.

All our leaders have been DBS checked.
Parents/carers  are welcome to stay in with their children especially little ones &  then go into church for the service as they see fit

The choir at St Mary Magdalene has a small but loyal and regular  attendance at Sunday morning Mass and other significant services. We  normally have a rehearsal at 10am on Sunday morning to prepare for that  morning’s service and to work on music for special occasions. We  occasionally sing at midweek services such as Ash Wednesday and  Ascension Day, and are available to sing at weddings and funerals. Every year we sing several choir items for the service of Nine Lessons and Carols, at which we are joined by other members of the congregation in  order to boost the numbers. We are currently without a director of music and hope that situation will be resolved soon.

<< Job Description HERE >>

Membership of the choir is open to anyone who is keen to sing.

No previous experience or  musical knowledge is required, just a willingness to take part, a commitment to rehearsal time, and

an enjoyment in music-making.
